The Derby manufacturer of composite parts for racing cars, epm:technology, has opened a new £6.75 million facility in Raynesway, housing its 103 employees.
Developer chosen for Osmaston houses
 
Derby City Council has chosen Keepmoat to build the 350 homes on its grade-II Osmaston site, where the Rolls-Royce factory once stood.
Work begins on UTC
 
Development work has begun on the £8 million Derby Manufacturing University Technical College, due to open in September 2015, with planning permission granted by Derby City Council for the college.

A new project manager has been appointed for the £100 million, 12.1ha Castleward regeneration scheme.

Profits up for Intu
 
Intu Properties, which owns the Intu Derby shopping centre, has reported a rise in profits. In the first six months of the year, profits rose to £602 million, compared to £200 million during the same period last year.

Bridge work nears completion
 
Contractors are aiming to complete building work on London Road Bridge by the end of 2014, with the concrete supporting structures now complete and the new bridge about to be slid into place over the Derby to Birmingham rail line.
