Seal of approval for Castleward

The redevelopment of a street linking Derby’s railway station to the city centre has been given the thumbs-up by residents and train passengers.
 
Resurfacing work, the creation of new pavements and carriageways, and the installation of new seating and lighting are the first steps on the way to the wider regeneration of the Castleward area.

Boosting the city's profile is high on Derby Council's chief executive Adam Wilkinson's list of priorities.

Inward investment agency Marketing Derby is aiming to attract office end-users to the city through one of its innovative Derby Embassy events in Birmingham in July.
 
This will be the first Derby Embassy in the West Midlands.
 
The event provides an innovative and effective tool for raising Derby’s profile with businesses and investors.

Derby's biggest letting for a decade secured

Derby’s largest city centre office letting for more than ten years has been completed.
 
NHS Derby City took a lease on 3,000sq m of accommodation at Nurton Developments’ Cardinal Square.

Rolls-Royce gives Derby its drive

Supermarket bid to fund campus plans

Brooksby Melton College has unveiled plans to sell off part of its Asfordby Road site to help it redevelop its two campuses and invest in new facilities. (Sourced from Melton Times.)
 
The college has appointed Derby regeneration company Cedar House Investments to take the project forward and says it intends to submit an outline planning application for a mid-size supermarket with up to 250 car parking spaces by the end of May.
