Aspiring media professional Georgina Codrington joined 3Fox International for work experience this week, helping the editorial and events team across a range of duties, including finding proper visual content for different magazines.

Codrington, 17, is studying BTEC media at Cardinal Wiseman High School, developing skills in fields such as editing and filming.

Throughout her week at 3Fox, Codrington worked on sourcing appropriate images, contacting artists recently interviewed by BOLD magazine and proofreading articles.

Over the week, she developed different skills within the publishing industry.

Codrington said: “ I managed to see what it is like to work in a publishing company, especially magazine editing, which is what I’m hoping to do in the near future.

“I was welcomed by the whole team and had a good insight on how magazines are published step by step”.

Codrington also helped 3Fox events team, contacting people invited to attend an event in the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

Codrington said she is looking forward to another week of work experience at 3Fox as she has “enjoyed this week so much” and has also learnt things that she can take with her back to school to help with her studies.

“I really enjoyed seeing the hard work and determination people go through when publishing. I am very fortunate that I was able to help and look closely at the work of 3Fox this week,” she said.
