Medway Council is inviting stakeholders and investors to the launch of its business enterprise park in North Kent this month.
The council will unveil plans for the Innovation Park Medway scheme on 18 September, announcing developments that will establish the site as part of the council's long-term initiative to attract innovative and creative industries to the area.
Based at Rochester airport, Innovation Park Medway will have 100,000sq m of discounted commercial space for science and technology firms as part of the North Kent Enterprise Zone initiative, to attract engineering, manufacturing and technology businesses to the area.
Hosted by the leader of Medway Council, Alan Jarrett, the launch will take place at the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance base, where the air responders became the first tenants of the future technology park.
Jarrett said: "Innovation Park Medway offers high-value technology, engineering, manufacturing and knowledge-intensive companies the opportunity to grow in a bespoke commercial development with a collaborative business environment.
"Medway is perfectly placed to attract the best and brightest minds and provide employment opportunities to make Innovation Park Medway an outstanding success and blueprint for the future."
