With the famed Pinewood studios nearby, the creative industries are a real opportunity for Slough, according to the local council.

Simon Hall, lead economic growth and enterprise for the local auhtority, said at the WOW conference for west and west of west London and the Thames Valley today (22 November): "Pinewood is a whole range of different small SMEs and we want to work with them to find how we can bring those businesses into Slough."
Pinewood was opened 80 years ago, and has 40 stages, including the "007 Stage".
Hall spoke of the council recently opening a film office to help companies wanting to use the area for film and TV. Part of the recent BBC drama, Killing Eve was shot around the area.
